Kenneth R. Barton II Memorial Scholarship
Each year, the USC Midwest Alumni Club provides scholarships to incoming Trojans. Scholarship interviews are conducted in the spring for students who have met established University criteria and who have been accepted by the University for admission in the fall.
Volunteers from the USC Midwest Alumni Club conduct interviews with the criteria, including community service, school activities, outside interests and hobbies, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, with special consideration given to students who have experienced and overcome adversities or hardships. Scholarship award winners are selected based upon their potential contribution to the Trojan Family.
The total amount of scholarship-award funds available is established by resolution of the USCMAC Board of Directors. Individual scholarships are one-time, non-renewable grants and can range from $1,000 to $5,000 depending upon the availability of matching funds. The number of students chosen to receive scholarships may vary depending upon Club resources. If you would like more information about the Kenneth Barton II Memorial Scholarship Program, please contact Scholarship Chairpersons, Sophia Aduana or Andrew Wetherell.
